VW Golf GTI Mk7 (MQB) Extra DSG Water Cooler
VW Golf GTI / GTI Performance Pack (220 & 230hp) does not have an additional water cooler for the DSG gearbox. This can cause temperature problems for the gearbox at higher power output or track driving.
The VW Golf R / GTI Clubsport / ED40 already has an original additional water cooler for the DSG gearbox to solve the temperature problem. The same solution that these models have can be fitted to a regular GTI but it is costly to carry out as the entire front bumper and more have to be replaced.
This is why this extra DSG water cooler is developed for the regular GTI models. This cooler pre-cools the cooling water that goes to the gearbox heat exchanger. Cooler is mounted in the front in front of the AC condenser. Hose brackets and other mounting details included.
